Lim Xiou Ann is CSO Senior Editor (ASEAN & ANZ) at Foundry. She drives content strategy for CSO ASEAN and engages the information security community in the region. Based in Singapore and with more than 10 years of editorial experience, she focuses on local insights and cybersecurity trends in Southeast Asian markets.

Ann is an experienced content strategist, event host, and moderator. She has facilitated bespoke briefing events as well as global and regional conferences and award events targeted at C-level audiences.

Cathy O'Sullivan | Editor-in-Chief APAC - CIO & CSO

Cathy O’Sullivan is Editor-in-Chief APAC for Foundry’s flagship enterprise brands, CIO and CSO. Based in Auckland, Cathy has worked in digital, print and broadcast media for almost two decades in newsrooms in New Zealand and Europe.

Cathy is a founder of the Irish Business Network of New Zealand, a mentor for children’s charity Pillars New Zealand, and a board adviser for Take2, a New Zealand social venture that helps those going through the prison system create better lives by teaching them valuable web development and life skills. She is also a trustee for the St Patrick’s Festival and sits on the advisory panel for Enterprise Ireland in ANZ.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from University College Cork and a postgraduate certificate in Human Potential for the Digital Economy from Tech Futures Lab.

Linus Lai is the VP of IDC’s Asia/Pacific Software and Services Research Group. He has more than 25 years of industry experience. 

Based in Sydney, he leads IDC's research in Digital Business, Security and Trust, Infrastructure Software and Professional Services. Linus is the Chief Analyst for Australia/New Zealand, a founding member of IDC's Future of Digital Innovation Council and is on the judging panel of Australia's CIO50.

Andrew Milroy | Vice President & Head of Research, Focus Network

Andrew Milroy | Vice President & Head of Research, Focus Network

Andrew Milroy leads the research and advisory business at Focus Network. His work involves empowering organisations to make decisions more effectively with data-driven insights — derived from Focus Network’s communities. 

He is a well-known and respected cybersecurity thought leader and speaker in the APAC region. With more than two decades of leadership experience in the cybersecurity sector, Andrew has worked with clients across all industry sectors and most geographies.

Andrew was recently an adjunct lecturer at ESSEC Business School, Asia Pacific where he taught technology and cybersecurity strategy to Masters students. He is also a Director at an independent cybersecurity advisory firm, Veqtor8.

He has held regional leadership roles — predominantly based in Singapore — with Frost & Sullivan and Ovum (now Omdia). Prior to working in Singapore, Andrew gained invaluable technology knowledge and experience while working in Europe and the United States.

Andrew is frequently invited to speak, chair and moderate at major technology events. He has also been quoted on global broadcast media, including BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg and Channel News Asia.

Andrew has a BSc from Newcastle University (UK), an MA from Middlesex University (UK) and an MBA from MGSM (Australia). He also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language.

Dr. Robert Walters is a Senior Lecturer, and Head Digital Economy Research Group, Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Walters is an Adjunct Professor of Law, European Faculty of Law, Slovenia, Europe, Adjunct Senior Research Fellow University Western Australia. Dr Walters is an International Arbitrator and Solicitor. 

He is a member of ASEAN Law Association – Singapore, Asia Pacific Scholar (Privacy/Data Protection) Network. His work on cross-border data flows in the new digital economy has been recognised globally, and in 2021 and 2022 was engaged by national governments to undertake a legal project for data flows, data adequacy, data protection, cyber security and artificial intelligence across Commonwealth countries. This work was commissioned to strengthen economic outcomes to a number of Commonwealth countries in the digital economy and international trade. 

He is a member and an external advisor to the Corporate and Insolvency Institute at Gujarat National law University, Gujarat India. 

Dr Walters specialises in transnational commercial and private law (data flows, data protection, cyber security, artificial intelligence, cross-border insolvency/restructuring (netting arrangements), contracts, arbitration). His work focuses on placing Australia in a leadership role, with a broader focus on working closely in partnership with the Europe Union member states, United Kingdom, ASEAN (Singapore, Indonesia), Japan, United States, Canada, India, South Africa and Kenya.
